The Cherry MX-Black Clear Top switch is the revival of a popular community switch known as the "Nixie" switch known in the community as MX "Nixie". It was a switch that manufactured for the Nixdorf Computer AG in the 1980s and was only produced for a few years. The switch has been re introduced using modern standards and a gold plated steel spring is used exclusively for the Black Clear Top switches.
