Introduction

Before formally introducing this product, I think it's necessary to talk about some of the stories behind it. If you're interested, please keep reading.

I believe some players are not unfamiliar with the name BIAS. As early as 2020, BIAS launched a private group purchase that was not open to the public. Even though it was a private crowdfunding project, it still attracted the attention of the keyboard community. So, at the end of 2021, the designer Baionlenja launched the group purchase of BIAS R2. If you have been following BIAS or its designer since this period, you must have heard many notorious comments about it. Due to the deception of the supplier, Baionlenja failed to complete this R2 group purchase. Coupled with the designer's lack of effective project management, Baionlenja lost hundreds of thousands of euros (on the one hand, he paid a deposit to the supplier but did not receive the corresponding keyboards, and on the other hand, customers had already paid the full amount, which also became the designer's personal debt). The worst part is that this group purchase made Baionlenja let down all the players who participated in it and, to some extent, planted an unsettling seed for group purchase projects in the keyboard community.

But believe me, the story doesn't end here...

After that, the internationally renowned project manager Manu met Baionlenja. Appreciating his design and understanding his situation, Manu voluntarily and without expecting anything in return took over all of Baionlenja's projects.

Despite the negative comments that occurred every day due to the undeniable facts, these did not stop Baionlenja from continuing to create. With Manu's help, these projects began to get back on track.

Objectively speaking, there are some things that are beyond one's control. Instead of avoiding responsibility, Baionlenja chose to continue to bear all of this and strive to fix all the mistakes. He will use all the profits from subsequent projects to produce the previous ones until all the outstanding orders are delivered.

Besides the BIAS DE (DEATH) we are introducing to you today, there is also a follow-up product - BIAS (REBIRTH). Death does not mean the end of everything; it's more like an experience and is destined to have a day of rebirth. A more mature brand. And Baionlenja is not fighting alone; we will accompany him to continue bringing more excellent designs to everyone.

Inspiration

Bias DE draws inspiration from "Neon Genesis Evangelion", with some color schemes directly derived from it. Bias DE continues the design style of its predecessor and takes it even further with bolder moves. The lines on the front, back, and sides are more abundant, making it highly recognizable from any angle on the desktop.

Mounting Design

In terms of structure, Baionlenja achieved the design of Bias DE with only a few components. For instance, the frosted semi-transparent diffusing strips on the front and rear sides serve as the medium for fixing the inner shell between the upper and lower shells, and also become the highlight of the entire keyboard - the continuous light strip. This sandwich-like structure, combined with positioning plates of different materials, can achieve good consistency and more directly reflect the sensory changes brought about by the combination of the positioning plates and PCB materials.
